2021 TESDA SKILLS COMPETITION: SNCAT MADE IT TO THE REGIONAL LEVEL

Following weeks of training, the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT) technical vocational (tech-voc) graduates in Food and Beverages Services (FBS) NC II, competitors in the skills area Restaurant Services made it to the Provincial level and are now preparing to unravel their skills as they will compete for Regional Skills Demonstration this coming October 28-29, 2021.

Last October 8, 2021, SNCAT headed by the College Administrator II, Ms. Abegail B. Eupeña served as the host venue for the Provincial Skills Demonstration. This was the time that remarkably hit the culmination upon the declaration of the TESDA-SDN Provincial Director, Catalina O. Tacubao that the very own competitors of the institution will be representing the Province of Surigao del Norte for the 2021 Regional Skills Competition in Restaurant Services Areas after having demonstrated with exceptional competence.

During the culmination program, the following were awarded with certificates from the Provincial Office and the host institution. They will compose the SNCAT delegates for 2021 Regional Skills Competition.

Furthermore, SNCAT was recognized by the TESDA-SDN Provincial Office as a strong partner in TVET implementation in the province. As a lone Technology Training Institution (TTI) in the province, SNCAT took the big part in having a full swing implementation of programs in agri-fishery and technology areas.

Indeed, the Skills Competition is one way to enhance and to develop the confidence of every TVET learners to compete the real challenge in this century’s labor market which is in line with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) purpose in organizing the competition as a platform for showcasing the skills of tech-voc graduates and trainees in various trade areas.
