Review and Evaluation of Research Proposals
In line with the call for implementation of National Technical Education and Skills Development Research Agenda (NTRA) 2017-2022 as directed by our TESDA Director General Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña, Ph.D., CSEE, the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT) headed by Ms. Abegail B. Eupeña, College Administrator II with the research team of the institution successfully crafted eight (8) research proposals in different sectors which was initially reviewed and evaluated by the Institution’s Research and Development Committee and further screened by the Regional Review Team of Caraga at the SNCAT Conference Room, Magpayang Mainit, Surigao del Norte last July 6, 2021.
The screening included presentation and defense on research proposals of each group of trainers assigned per sector. The following are the list of evaluated proposals submitted to the Regional Office:

This endeavor of the institution upholds from its mission in developing a culture of research among the employees and research-based extension services to the communities. Crafting of proposals was made possible as product of an In-House training on 3-day Write shop on Research Proposal conducted in the institution last May 6, 7 & 10, 2021. Also, is part of the realization of TESDA’s mandate to manage and supervise technical education through a research-based policies strengthened and initiated by our TESDA Caraga Regional Director Tarhata S. Mapandi, CESO III to be implemented in the region for possible funding and support.
Hence, this is one of the ways where the institution is gearing towards excellence in promoting quality assured services to the clienteles.
