SNCAT starts its 1st Session of promoting Mental Health Awareness

“You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.” — Dan Millman

In view of raising awareness on the importance of public mental health, especially amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT) faculty and staff headed by Ms. Abegail B. Eupeña, College Administrator II watched or viewed in widescreen the random short videos/links pertaining to Workplace Mental Health Awareness (WMHA) provided by TESDA under the leadership of Director General Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña, Ph.D., CSEE at SNCAT Events Center, Magpayang, Mainit, Surigao del Norte recently.

The short videos and information materials are intended to be viewed and dessiminated to all employees of TESDA, both physically and virtually present during weekly staff meetings and/or every after flag raising ceremonies. In this case, while waiting for the blessing ceremony to commence in the afternoon, SNCAT opted to make the most of the time of the day and start the first session of widescreen video viewing on mental health awareness in the morning. This is one way to strategically ensure promotion of mental health awareness to SNCAT employees in consonance to the directive of our TESDA Caraga Regional Director Tarhata S. Mapandi to start the video showing as soon as possible.

This program provides over-all understanding on mentall wellness and provide an inclusive, conducive and supportive work environment to ensure a healthy and productive workforce.
