SNCAT celebrates employee’s day breaking the 480 minutes of usual work

“The opportunity to step away from everything and take a break is something that shouldn't be squandered.”- Harper Reed

September 1, 2021 marks the day of celebration for the true assets of an organization-the employees. Treating the day with unusual vibrance, the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT) Faculty and Staff headed by Ms. Abegail B. Eupeńa unleased the 480 minutes of usual working day at Farmers Hill Garden, Mapaso Road, Mainit, Surigao del Norte.

Away from the hustle and bustle of being in the working mode the SNCAT employees spent the day with unlimited Pa-Videok, dancing, swimming and scene-viewing with much chit-chat, foods and laughter.

Timely in addressing the common mental takeaways such as burnout and stress, this short paused for the day is indeed a recharge for a better and effective service. According to the study “Workers spent Breaks can replenish the psychological costs associated with working hard, improve work performance, and boost energy. At some point, employees need to stop working to recharge their batteries, so to speak. Short breaks during the workday can actually boost mental resources such as attention, ensuring good performance.

Hence, starting the month with a refreshment creates more positive vibes in the fulfillment of the mantra “TESDA, Abot lahat under the leadership of Director General Secretary Isidro S. Lapeńa and Caraga Cares spearheaded by RD Tarhata S. Mapandi.
