SNCAT Celebrates its Trainee’s Training Attainment leading to Completion of Barangay Health Services NC II Program

July 8, 2021- Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT) headed by the College Administrator II, Ms. Abegail B. Eupeña held its Culmination Program for completers of Unit of Competency 4: Monitor status of household members under his or her service area of coverage a Competency Based Training delivery leading to Brgy. Health Services NC II at SNCAT Events Center with the theme: “Pandemya ay labanan: Kalusugan para sa Kinabukasan katuwang ang Brgy. Health Workers ng bawat sambayanan!”.

With the continuous mitigation to COVID-19 pandemic, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) under the leadership of Director General Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña, Ph.D., CSEE with its TESDA Technology Institutions (TTI’s) and TESDA Administered School (TAS) opted to help its fellowmen by any possible means. One of its efforts is by offering Brgy. Health Services NC II for those individuals who are eager help ease the spread of the deadly virus and to assist the household to identify health problems and promote health and well-being.

This full qualification program was strategically conducted chunk into Unit of Competencies through Competency Based Training delivery until fully implemented. Pioneered with 25 trainees enrolled in the said qualification, 16 of which have successfully completed the training and were declared as completers. The training was conducted by Ms. Izza Mae Necessario Cadeliña from May 23 to June 26, 2021.

Our very own Regional Director of TESDA Caraga, Ms. TARHATA S. MAPANDI, CESO III, took part by delivering a culmination message via virtual, encouraging all the completers on their endeavor to be a relevant member of the community by taking part on their role essential in respond to the crises brought by the pandemic that we are all facing nowadays. Afterwards, Ms. Eupeña awarded the training certificates to the completers assisted by the training division chief.

For the pinnacle of the culmination, one of the completers, Ms. Cristine Joy Tado, shared a heartwarming word of gratitude for the opportunity to hone their skills and to extend support to their barangay.

SNCAT is proud to have its first batch of completers who will soon, upon completion, will become one of the Barangay Health Workers.
