Our new Scorpion and Roadrunner patrols first campout. The patrols learn many of the basics for scout camping.

The older scouts helped with instructing our new patrols. They really demonstrated the true meaning of brotherhood in scouting.

This year some scouts traveled to the Camporee by canoe down the Broad River. Nicknamed the "River Rats", this group joined the Camporee later helping with the evening campfire events and the wrap up on Sunday.

Backpacking

March 2008 Map this location

In true Troop 95 tradition the scouts braved high winds and rain. The weather added a challenge for the scouts. The scouts hiked to Pinnacle Mountain and on to the Foothills trail. In a driving rain they maneuvered grades up to 30% and changes in elevation of over 2000ft. This trip truly showed the capabilities of our high adventuring backpacking scouts. The following day began with a beautiful sunrise and the crew enjoyed a great hike down.
