My analysis of hundreds of reported black bass catches with length, girth, and weight published data seems to reveal these findings:

29 to 29.7-inch length bass with 20.5 to 26.5-inch girths can weigh from about 13.2 to 18.8 pounds (15 to 17 pounds average)

28 to 28.5-inch length bass with 20 to 25-inch girths can weigh from about 13.1 to 17.5 pounds (13.5 to 14.5 pounds average)

27 to 27.5-inch length bass with 14 to 23-inch girths can weigh from about 8.8 to 16 pounds (12 to 13 pounds average)

26 to 26.75-inch length bass with 15 to 24-inch girths can weigh from about 8.1 to 15.9 pounds (10 to 11 pounds average)

25 to 25.875-inch length bass with 16.25 to 22.25-inch girths can weigh from about 8 to 12.6 pounds (9 to 10 pounds average)

24 to 24.5-inch length bass with 16 to 20.75-inch girths can weigh from about 6.75 to 10.1 pounds (8 to 8.5 pounds average)

23 to 23.75-inch length bass with 14.5 to 19.75-inch girths can weigh from about 5.5 to 8.4 pounds (6 to 7.5 pounds average)

22 to 22.75-inch length bass with 13.5 to 17.625-inch girths can weigh from about 5 to 8.3 pounds (5.5 to 6 pounds average)

21 to 21.75-inch length bass with 12 to 17-inch girths can weigh from about 4.1 to 6 pounds (4.5 to 5 pounds average)

20 to 20.75-inch length bass with 11.33 to 16-inch girths can weigh from about 3.5 to 6.1 pounds (4 to 4.25 pounds average)

19 to 19.5-inch length bass with 12.25 to 17-inch girths can weigh from about 3.3 to 5.2 pounds (3.5 to 3.75 pounds average)

18 to 18.75-inch length bass with 11 to 15.1-inch girths can weigh from about 2.5 to 4.25 pounds (3 to 3.25 pounds average)

17 to 17.75-inch length bass with 9.75 to 14.25-inch girths can weigh from about 2.3 to 3.6 pounds (2.5 to 2.75 pounds average)
