Groups

More details about all groups are in the Groups Supplement that was distributed with the September edition of the newsletter.
Extra copies are available on the Back Copies page.

Wingates Bridge Club

Wingates Bridge Club plays both in person at the village hall and online. Currently, for the winter, it is meeting online every Tuesday from 7.30pm. It will return to in person in the spring.

New members of all levels are very welcome, newcomers to bridge in particular. Don't be worried about skill levels - this is a very sociable club and lessons will be given. A basic knowledge of whist is helpful but not essential. And online is easy! The club will be organising a try-outs evening in the New Year.

And members who've dropped out will be warmly welcomed back, too.

Please contact Neil Fowler 07770 641385 neildfowler1@aol.com or Robert Famelton robertfamelton@gmail.com. They will let you have login details. Do become involved - it is a genuinely fun game.

Longhorsley WI

Walter Riddell, from Hepple Gin, ensured our November meeting got off to a great start. He began his talk by handing out samples of Hepple Sloe Gin followed by Gin & Tonics both complete with ice cubes. Needless to say, everyone agreed it was a very enjoyable evening.

At our next meeting, on Thursday 1st December, we will be creating some Christmas Crafts under the guidance of Maureen Taylor.

On 5th January we will be welcoming Linda Davison with a talk entitled "I am a Geordie". Visitors would be very welcome.
