I am an Associate Professor of Economics in the Woody L. Hunt College of Business at the University of Texas at El Paso. 

I also serve as the Director of Research for the Hunt Institute for Global Competitiveness and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Economics and Finance 

My primary fields of study are macroeconomics, financial economics, and computational methods.  

My current research interests include the importance of financial and labor market frictions in explaining key aggregate phenomena and the impact of public investment in infrastructure on growth and inequality.
