I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Texas at El Paso and the Director of Research for the Hunt Institute of Global Competitiveness.

My primary fields of study are macroeconomics, financial economics, and computational methods.

My current research interests include the importance of financial and labor market frictions in explaining key aggregate phenomena and the impact of public investment in infrastructure on growth and inequality.
