Huntsville Historical Society July Meeting

The Huntsville Historical Society will meet July 15, 2014 at 6:30 pm in Don's Family Restaurant, 315 Highway JJ in Huntsville, MO.. The featured speaker will be Rudi Keller, a reporter for the Columbia Tribune, and author of the column 150 Years Ago. The topic will be "Civil War Research in Central Missouri." This meeting takes place on the 150th anniversary of "Bloody Bill" Anderson's raid on Huntsville, Missouri so there will certainly be some discussion of that. The Historical Society runs the museum in downtown Huntsville which is open from 2 pm to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays April through October. It also takes care of the Mayo Cabin on the courthouse lawn and many of the monuments there.
