Field Trips!
where we visited the laboratory where x-rays were discovered, learned about radiography, and sat in the chairs from Röntgen's first lecture post-discovery (Read my museum review.)
where we saw the machine room, learned about adaptive optics in telescopes, and took a planetarium tour of the universe
where we learned about the founders of this interdisciplinary institution, heard about its six Nobel laureates, and awed over the library
where we heard from postdoctoral researchers about their multidisciplinary projects
"Multidisciplinary work gives you access to a bigger slice of knowledge in the world."
where we saw the manufacturing site and learned about how chemical products are incorporated into consumer products (Science communication! Read my blog post about the visit)
