Undergraduate Research

The Iowa Center for Research by Undergraduates (ICRU) aims to get undergraduates students involved in research projects with a mentor. They support all disciplines and I am happy to be representing the Museum Studies Certificate Program. By engaging in these project, I am able to discover for myself what makes the museum field so dynamic and exciting. Research has helped me to investigating new ideas and reach new conclusions in my future career field.

Dr. Lung and I used qualitative research to develop a list of best practices for high-impact internships at museums.

Again, I worked with Dr. Lung; this time we to investigated current compensation practices in Iowa's museums.

I combined my ideas with other emerging professionals to present on best internship practices for the museum field.

Mentored by Dr. Heidi Lung, I used a 2017 survey conducted by the Iowa Museum Association to gain insight into the museum field of Iowa and how it stacked up nationwide.
