Landscape Exhibit
A landscape is inspired by any urban, rural or wild landscape
Design by Mary O'Brien
Close Up 1
The atmosphere should be captured with plant material and other components suitable for the type of landscape
Close Up 2
In naturalistic interpretations scale and perspective are of particular importance
Seascape Exhibit
A Seascape exhibit is inspired by the sea, seashore or under the sea
Design by Mary O'Brien
Close Up 1
The atmosphere should be captured with plant material and other components suitable for the type of seascape
Close Up 2
In naturalistic interpretations, scale and perspective are of particular importance
Parallel Exhibit
Groupings of vertical parallel lines placed in their own well-defined space.
Usually more than one area of dominance in this type of design
Design by Mary O'Brien
Close Up 1
Verticals rising from groundwork that forms the base of the design
Close Up 2
Some plant material may extend over the edge of the container to soften the overall effect
Meadow Style design
Plant Material is arranged vertically in rows giving the impression of a flower meadow viewed at eye level.
The meadow style has evolved from the standard parallel design but differs in the use of visually lighter garden-like plant material.
Design by Mary O'Brien
Side angle
Depth is an important feature and is achieved by the use of parallel layering.
Close Up
Rhythm is achieved by the repetitive use of colour and texture at different levels within the design.
