THE CONDITIONS:

The Hirer:

assumes full responsibility for the safety and security of the Equipment from the time of its removal from, to the time of its return to, ACSAH premises (Note: the Equipment is not considered to have been returned until this Agreement is so endorsed by ACSAH or its agent);
acknowledges that insurance cover of the Equipment is not held by ACSAH for the duration of the hire and that any such insurance cover is the sole responsibility of the Hirer;
agrees to reimburse ACSAH, at the current retail market price, for any damage to, or loss of, the Equipment, however caused (Note: this clause does not apply in so far as it relates to minor abrasive damage eg surface scratches etc that might constitute reasonable wear and tear during normal use of the Equipment);
will return all Equipment in a clean condition and accepts that a cleaning fee of $30 per boat may be charged by ACSAH if the Equipment is not returned in such a condition;
has inspected the Equipment and is satisfied that it is of an appropriate type, and in a suitable condition for, the purpose for which the Hirer intends to use it;
acknowledges that canoeing, by its very nature, is a sport that can involve significant risk of injury or death and accepts responsibility for ensuring that all users of the Equipment have the necessary skills, training and experience (including knowledge of any legislative provisions that may apply to the use or operation of such Equipment) to safely use or operate it during the period of the hire;
will make no claims whatsoever against ACSAH, either in relation to any advice provided by ACSAH or its agent, or in relation to the use of the Equipment by the Hirer or by any user of the Equipment during the period of the hire, with or without the knowledge or consent of the Hirer.

DECLARATION:

I, the Hirer, have read, understand and accept the aforementioned Conditions in relation to my hire of the above specified Equipment from Acacia Canoe Sales and Hire (ACSAH) during the period commencing on ..… / ..… / ..… and returning on ..… / ..… / ..… .
