The Renegade is an International Class surf kayak, which means it has to be over 3.0m long and have no fins.  It has its roots in the traditional style of surf kayaking (wave sliders), the technique of surfing with only your paddle and rail to control the craft.  Its length, combined with the double concave and flatter rocker, makes the Renegade one of the fastest, if not the fastest, surf kayaks around today.  It has great flat water paddle speed meaning you should be able to catch anything from 30cm slop to the biggest bomb waves.  It’s great for paddling back out on long point breaks and, once mastered, it will fly down the line and do huge slashes.  Although designed as a surf kayak, it also works well as a flat water kayak getting you fit paddling around the creeks and dams and is a lot less cumbersome than most recreational kayaks.
