Friday, 3/27 - Chapter 3 AP Multiple Choice questions

Hey everyone! I hope all of you are staying safe and finding ways to stay busy during these uncertain times. I wanted to give you an update on AP expectations for Calc BC. They have cut out material for the AP test for this year given the pandemic, which means that we have FINISHED all material you guys will see on the AP test! So that's exciting. The AP test will consist of everything you learned from the beginning of the year through Chapter 11 (two-sample confidence intervals and hypothesis tests). So regardless of when we return to school, we will be focusing on reviewing for the AP test during this next month. I hope we get the opportunity to dive into the material we haven't covered yet, but that is out of our control at this point.

So, for this week you will find some practice materials covering a few of the topics you will be tested on. I will post those materials and lay out some general expectations of what you should be able to complete each day. Also, AP is offering free lectures to students that review different topics, so I may have you watch a few of those to refresh yourselves with some of the things we have done early on, or some of the more challenging concepts from Q3. I know some of you are not taking the AP test, but I believe that these practice materials will be the best review for you as well, so you don't lose information you've learned this year.

Please email me if you finished the EC assignment over break. Please be honest. If you didn't finish the packet, then no EC. Please also state where you would like to apply the EC. I will apply your letter grade of EC this week. Hold on to the packet so that we can go over it when we return (or I will post solutions if we don't return before the AP tests). You will notice that the Ch 11 test is not in the gradebook. It will not count towards your grade. We will go over it as a class when we return (if we get the opportunity).

I know this is a crazy time for you seniors. I'm here to help in any way that I can. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any concerns, questions, comments, or feedback. Like you, I am hunkered down at home just trying to live another day. Stay safe, stay strong, and try to find ways to have fun!
