Make sure you're all ready for the AP test! I will be available again today from 10-11am and 1-2pm with questions you may have. You should have received your code from AP yesterday, so make sure you have that and everything needed on your checklist ready to go!

All late work is due by Friday, May 15th. I will not accept work after that date. Because of AP testing, I will not be putting in any new grades this week.

Week 2 (3/30-4/3):

Hey y'all! So we are going to try AP Classroom this week. If you don't remember your AP login info, please let me know. This site is really cool in that you'll get instant feedback on how you did on these "Progress checks." This is something new that I wanted to try, if it doesn't work then we can use the book and other resources. Make sure you download LockDown browser onto your computer before starting to work on these progress checks. Instructions are in the link below, as well as your task for each day! Spend as much or little time as you want to on this, but this should be REALLY good AP review. Ask me questions as you go!

*** It appears that downloading the browser has caused some issues, so I'm going to post PDFs of the questions under this link for you to use instead of AP Classroom. I will post solutions each day to these multiple choice progress checks. Please check back at 10am on Monday, 3/30 to find the PDF versions. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Here is the PDF for the second progress check: Unit 2A Progress Check MCQ

Here is the PDF for the third progress check: Unit 3 Progress Check MCQ

*** a few questions had to be removed when making the PDF (Question 7 in unit 1, question 12 in unit 2)

Week 1:

This work is to be completed and answers are to be sent to me by picture or scan via email. I will post solutions at the end of the week. Work is due on Friday at 5pm. Please don't spend more than an hour working on these. Just take this time to review some of the concepts in each of the three chapters.

Wednesday, 3/25 - Chapter 1 AP Multiple Choice review in book

Thursday, 3/26 - Chapter 2 AP Multiple Choice review in book

Friday, 3/27 - Chapter 3 AP Multiple Choice review in book

Hey everyone! I hope all of you are staying safe and finding ways to stay busy during these uncertain times. I wanted to give you an update on AP expectations for Calc BC. They have cut out material for the AP test for this year given the pandemic, which means that we have FINISHED all material you guys will see on the AP test! So that's exciting. The AP test will consist of everything you learned from the beginning of the year through differential equations, as well as geometric series, Harmonic series (and more generally p-series), Alternating Series test for convergence, Ratio test for convergence, and finding Taylor Polynomial approximations of functions. So regardless of when we return to school, we will be focusing on reviewing for the AP test during this next month. I hope we get the opportunity to dive into the material we haven't covered yet, but that is out of our control at this point.

So, for this week you will find some practice materials covering a few of the topics you will be tested on. I will post those materials and lay out some general expectations of what you should be able to complete each day. Also, AP is offering free lectures to students that review different topics, so I may have you watch a few of those to refresh yourselves with some of the things we have done early on, or some of the more challenging concepts from Q3.

Please email me if you finished the EC assignment over break. Please be honest. If you didn't finish the packet, then no EC. Please also state where you would like to apply the EC. I will apply your letter grade of EC this week. Hold on to the packet so that we can go over it when we return (or I will post solutions if we don't return before the AP tests).

I know this is a crazy time, especially for you seniors. I'm here to help in any way that I can. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any concerns, questions, comments, or feedback. Like you, I am hunkered down at home just trying to live another day. Stay safe, stay strong, and try to find ways to have fun!
