Club rides
Will a club ride suit you?
Our club rides are all about enjoying yourself on your bike in an informal and friendly atmosphere
Our rides do not follow a set format in terms of distance or speed, and depend on who we have out with us at the time and the abilities within the group
We will never 'drop' a rider, so don't be put off joining a ride by thinking you might not keep up. Some riders may be quicker up hills but they will always wait at the top for others to catch up; there is no pressure for anyone to keep up on our rides.
Riding with a group is a great way to improve your cycling skills and build confidence on the road
You will explore our local roads and maybe get to places that you have not visited before
You get to eat cake
When do club rides take place?
All club rides start and finish in Kingsbridge on the Quay by the Tourist Information Centre
Weekend rides
Occur on a Saturday or Sunday throughout the year depending on the weather
Meet time is 10am
Distance varies from shorter rides in the Winter (2-3 hrs), whilst in the Summer rides are generally longer, and sometimes may be all day if we venture out to Dartmoor
Will normally include a café stop
Mid week evening rides
Occur on a Wednesday from March to October depending on the weather
Meet time is 6pm
Distance is approximately 20 miles, so out for 2 hours maximum
Remember - these rides are not set in stone, it depends on who we have out. Specific ride information will usually be posted a couple of days before the ride itself through our social media platforms (see contact page), which will give more detail on the route and expected time out.
