Hi, my name is David Westbrook. I am the owner of Dave’s DJ Service of Lafayette. I have a degree in broadcasting from USL (a.k.a. UL). I received my FCC license in 1988 and worked on-air as a radio personality for 8 years at KXKW, KMDL, and KXKC. During that time, I began to mobile DJ with production companies in 1991 and was also a DJ/MC at Scandal’s nightclub in 1996. In 1997, I worked on cruise ships in the Caribbean where I was an entertainment host and also helped train other DJ’s on board different ships.
I am currently a Health and Physical Education Teacher and Soccer Coach at Youngsville Middle School. Because I love music so much and enjoy helping people plan for that special occasion that will be a memory for a lifetime. I started my own DJ business in 2001. Since then, I have provided musical entertainment for a variety of events in and around Lafayette and the Acadiana area. I take pride in the fact that the music I play is family friendly. I will not play explicit lyrics or inappropriate songs at a function. I look forward to being a part of your special occasion. Together we can make your event memorable and fun.
