A father sued for custody of his 2 & 1/2 year old son in family court. The case was presented to a jury. Why the maternal grandmother testified that her daughter was having an affair with another man before the divorce was final, only God knows. Why the wife's other child testified like she was coached, only God knows. The jury found the father was the parent who should be awarded the child over the objection of the Guardian Ad Litem and the Expert Parenting Evaluator who both said the child was too young for the father. Later, the Judge vacated the jury's ruling for a new trial and the father decided to represent himself with a different result on rehearing.

This same father above was charged with assault by his wife for throwing car keys at her. The case was tried to a jury and the police officer was subpoenaed. Why the officer testified the only injury on the wife was a red spot on her wrist which was consistent with trying to catch the keys, only God knows. The jury verdict, "NOT GUILTY."

Friend of a Wounded Heart

A mother was attempting to sue the wrong "father" for child support. As an attorney ad litem, my job was to find an unknown father who was supposedly the biological Dad. I was able to find the real biological Dad and had the case dismissed against the wrong man. During the investigation, I spoke with the twin daughters. Why they confided in me that they had been sexually assaulted by the mother's boyfriend for several years, only God knows. NOTICE: THE ATTORNEY CLIENT PRIVILEGE DOES NOT EXEMPT THE ATTORNEY FROM REPORTING CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT, WHETHER YOU ARE THE VICTIM OR THE PERPETRATOR OR THE ATTORNEY'S CLIENT. During the boyfriend's criminal statutory sexual assault trial, I testified that the children really could remember the rapes. The mother's boyfriend was sentenced to 60 years in prison.

A deacon grandfather financed his daughter's divorce. A year later, the ex-son-in-law coached his youngest son to outcry against the grandfather in two counties for sexual assault. The deacon called a Christian attorney site such as the Christian Legal Society or the American Center for Law and Justice to locate me. Why the ex-son-in-law decided to take a lie detector test where he confessed to the coaching, only God knows. The grandfather was NO-BILLED by grand juries in both counties. The father was charged with making a false police report. The charges against the ex-son-in-law were later dropped by the Fort Bend District Attorney. The father was limited to temporary supervised visitation in Family Court. The Please pray for these people as they continue to try to co-parent.

A man's daughter was sexually assaulted by a friend's nephew at a home party with the two families. A month later, when the she had possession of the daughter, child's mother abandoned her at home, the father called CPS who came and took all the children who placed them with the maternal grandmother. When the mother returned, she admitted to using drugs. At the adversary hearing, without an attorney, the father was badgered into agreeing the children were in a continuing threat. He hired me and I filed for a new hearing based upon the fact that my client was a non-abusive parent because CPS in Harris County did not know that the CPS in Liberty County had closed the case against the father finding the father was not negligent with his daughter's sexual assault, but in fact caught the perpetrator who is now in Texas Youth Commission. Why there was a visiting judge on the day of the reconsideration, only God knows. The court ruled a new temporary orders should be heard including whether the father should be given temporary custody pending the CPS investigation, over the objection of the CPS attorney and Ad Litem for the children. When the judge got back, she overturned the visiting judge's ruling but the evidence was in the record. Dad paid for a Mandamus of the judge's ruling which was denied. Why the maternal grandmother began allowing her daughter unauthorized access, only God knows. The court then awarded the Dad, my client, temporary custody of the children, pending trial. In a mediated settlement, Permanent custody was given to the Dad.

In a divorce, both parents were present but the key witness for my father client failed to show up for the hearing on a temporary restraining order. Only God knows why the mother left before the hearing started, placing her in a default posture. Judgment for the Dad on a case he would otherwise have lost.

God hates divorce and having experienced it, I understand. But with God's forgiveness, hope is eternal. skip the add
