A few undercarriage measurements in red. pic1

Notes on gear ratios:

The axle code will also tell you. 9 inch codes were 01, 04, 05, or 06 (early) or 13, 17, 18, or 19 (late). If it's a "posi" it will have an "A" as the first character instead of the "0" or "1".

With one wheel jacked up you have to multiply the driveshaft revs by two because of the differential gears. 1.5 revolutions for a 3.00, and so on. Standard Econoline ratios on a 9 inch were 3.00, 3.50, 4.11, and 4.57. 7 and 7-1/4 inch were 3.50 or 4.00.

my '65 (model 3.03) 1st-2.99, 2nd-1.75, 3rd-1.00

my '64 (4spd Dagenham) - 1st-3.16, 2nd-2.21, 3rd-1.41, 4th-1.00, haven't checked the differential on it.
