7 day and 14 day free trials !!!

Both my streaming site https://vid932008.vhx.tv/browse, and 24Flix , have 7 day & 14 day free trial periods, so I strongly suggest you sign up for the free trial, view what you want, and only then decide if you want to pay for it and let your payment process through!!! Most importantly, your subscription to vid932008.vhx/browse will not only contribute to HESUS JOY CHRIST / Matthew's Sixth Sense, and beyond; making you a valued Patron, but also trigger the regular posting of animation clips and their discussion weekly, to fully immerse oneself in the HESUS JOY CHRIST provision of my comprehension of Theology of the Body!!!

Table of Contents !!!

HESUS JOY CHRIST / Matthew's Five's Nine is currently in production, so it is unavailable until completed LATE in 2013.  This is because of the scope of this production, which is so large that a 2 second scene required 169 drawings and 40 hours of work !  About eight scenes of about a total of 25 scenes, are more or less completed since this time last year.

Preview Two

Here is a preview that would have screened  at the Revue Cinema's open screening called Drop Your Shorts!

. . . . . if they had had one this year since July. Consider it your Christmas present !!

Head Rotations - Locking Down the Look of each of the 14 main characters.

With fourteen main characters, it seems each time I draw each one of them they look like a completely different person !   So having modelled 14 plasticene heads, and now creating 14 model sheets of photographs of these heads of the characters, I have begun to draw head rotations.  Hopefully this will enable me to draw each of them consistently.

Cast Rotations - Locking Down the Look of each of the 14 main characters.

As well, I have begun to draw all 14 (15) characters in the same head position on ONE PAGE, and I am calling these Cast Rotations.  As can be seen from the first one, these really help to lock down the characters in my imagination.  It is a real learning experience.

This posting begins with the technical references.

Reference Sheets

This shows the multitude of head positions, with reference numbers, that can be drawn.

This will serve as a reference for each of the Cast Rotation sheets, and as a guide for ensuring every position is attempted.

It is important that each of the 14 ( 15 ) characters is recognizable in every position.

At least drawing all these will establish a weekly drawing discipline that I can put toward animation of this monster of a project !

12X7 Rotation Chart 2013-11-21

Seven elevations ( 1 down to 7 ) times 12 horizontal rotated positions ( A through L; or 1 through 12 ), produces 84 head positions from all the way around the sphere of the cranium of the character. This mapping identifies the positions drawn in each Cast Rotation, as well as the positions drawn in the Head Rotations 2017.

The example of the graphically calculated solutions, directly above this text, drawn on 2017-01-23, are the 16 toughest positions to draw, as they are all on a discreet angle, and can very easily deteriorate into wandering facial features, especially if the ellipses that circle the sphere of the cranium are structurally unsound due to not being correctly graphically calculated.

These 16 toughest positions are:

The same positions with the head turned away from the view, viewing the back of the head, are just as tricky, being:

If you are tackling this, you may have now just noticed that I wrote an "H" instead of a "K" on the "12x7 Rotation Chart", back when I created it on 2013-11-21.  The scary thing is I think I only noticed that just now!

Cephas - 16 Toughest Head Positions to Draw

Click on this coloured image of Cephas to see the head rotation animation of the Cephas heads drawn on 2017-02-06, -13 .

*** Note that  D-6-4 is in the place of D-5-4, and vice versa.  Mistakes like this are all too easy to make, and even easier to make when laying out the ellipses while drawing the animation.

25 Graphically Calculated Head Rotations - inward 25, outward 25

These 25 head positions, from D-2-4 all the way down to H-6-8, create a panorama of sorts that can be drawn "outward" as below, or instead, "inward" by reversing the positions' locations on the sheet of paper. Other than the same positions showing instead the back of the head, all the other positions, 34 of them, as well as the level positions included in these 25, are really very straightforward to draw.  These 25, or at least 16 of these 25, are the most challenging, being prone to the "wandering features" problem when animated.

Fleshing Out the Characters

Here are some recent drawings of the 14 main characters ( and the dog, in one of them ).  I have opted to sculpt these fourteen characters' heads rather than continue to try to solidify them by drawing.  I will post images of the sculpted busts as they are completed, hopefully sometime in February, 2013.

Portraits of the Crafty Twelve and Others

And here are some portraits of the characters created in 2010.

The complete set of all the characters in this upcoming animation are posted in the sub-page to this page ...
