It appears that a typical school day began at 9:00 and ended at 4:00 with a one hour lunch period. There were two "intermissions" one mid-morning and one mid-afternoon. Depending on the grade students were in, it seems there were courses in Arithmetic, language, grammar, geography, physiology, Kansas history, reading, writing, drawing, civics, U.S. History, spelling, agriculture.
