FAQ

I WANT A TATTOO NOW WHAT DO I DO?

Request a FREE Tattoo Consult (HERE) or give us a call at the shop. Walk-ins are welcome when we have an artist available.

HOW ARE TATTOOS PRICED?

Each artist has their own hourly rate so the best thing to do is request to speak to an artist about your idea. If you are out of state, we will work with you on a rough estimate but a firm price cannot be given. *Quotes cannot be given over the phone or email.

WHAT IS YOUR SHOP MINIMUM?

     Our shop minimum is $80.

AM I SUPPOSED TO TIP?

Yes, you tip a waitress for a job well done, so tip your artist for a job well done.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

The majority of our artists are booked a few months out, but we always welcome walk-ins when we have an artist available.

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

Review our artists' portfolios online and make a decision as to with which of our artists you would like to work. We offer free consultations. Our counter staff will then find the appropriate time and date to fit your schedule. Once your appointment dates are selected, a non-refundable deposit is collected. If you book more than one appointment for larger pieces of art, a single deposit is held for all the appointments and is deducted from the final total of the last appointment at the completion of the tattoo. If your schedule changes and you need to move your appointment, please contact the shop within 48 hours of your appointment or your deposit will be forfeited. (Example: $100 deposit + $300 total balance due = $200 paid.)

WHAT DOES EMPYREAN MEAN AND WHERE DID IT COME FROM?

Let's define the word empyrean first:

Empyrean:

em·py·re·an

/emˈpirēən,ˌempəˈrēən?

The Empyrean was used as a name for the firmament, and in Christian literature, notably the Divine Comedy and Paradise Lost, for the dwelling-place of God, the blessed, celestial beings so divine they are made of pure light, and the source of light, creativity, and creation.

Mike being a fan of both Dante and Milton, it seemed very simple for his shop to be named after the dwelling where all of creativity is born.
