May: Reflective

We thoughtfully consider the world and our own ideas and experience. We work to understand our strengths and weaknesses in order to support our learning and personal development.

"WE CANNOT SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS WITH THE SAME THINKING WE USED WHEN WE CREATED THEM."

-ALBERT EINSTEIN

Consider how can I be reflective in my everyday life in school and at home. Adults: model your own reflections for students to understand how reflection can look, feel and be helpful for them.

As an IB PYP School, we are dedicated to modeling and teaching the learner profile supported by the attitudes of the profile. The learner profile is a “broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond academic success.” The ten universal values develop lifelong learners and internationally minded citizens.

Through the IB Learner Profile we strive to be Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-Minded, Caring, Risk-Takers, Balanced, and Reflective.

These are the day to day attitudes we use: appreciation, commitment, confidence, cooperation, creativity, curiosity, empathy, enthusiasm, independence, integrity, respect, and tolerance.
