APRIL: COMMUNICATORS

We express ourselves confidently and creatively in more than one language and in many ways. We collaborate effectively, listening carefully to the perspectives of other individuals and groups.

Listening: Listening to directions, listening to others, listening to information.

Speaking: Speaking clearly; expressing ideas clearly and logically; giving oral reports. Reading: Reading from a variety of sources and understanding what has been read ; making inferences; and drawing conclusions.

As an IB PYP School, we are dedicated to modeling and teaching the learner profile supported by the attitudes of the profile. The learner profile is a “broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond academic success.” The ten universal values develop lifelong learners and internationally minded citizens.

Through the IB Learner Profile we strive to be Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-Minded, Caring, Risk-Takers, Balanced, and Reflective.

These are the day to day attitudes we use: appreciation, commitment, confidence, cooperation, creativity, curiosity, empathy, enthusiasm, independence, integrity, respect, and tolerance.
