Other Projects

Here are some other projects I have made!

Other Projects

Overrated Delivery Service

Obstacle runner ‣ 6 weeks 50% ‣ 14 people

Our first project at The Game Assembly, made in Unity. Our reference game was Temple Run. My biggest contribution to the projects was the menu. Other things I worked on were pickups, camera and sounds.

Press the Button to Move Forward

One button racing game ‣ Spare time ‣ Solo

This is an online multiplayer game I've made in Unity using UNet. I wanted to learn how to make a game that is played in short rounds with a working loop that lets players play rounds seamlessly. I managed to do this pretty quickly thanks to my earlier experiences with multiplayer games in Unity, so I added in some skins that have different ways to be unlocked which taught me a lot.

Adventure puzzle game ‣ 3 weeks ‣ 8 people

Second major game we made in LBS, created in Unity. I was the lead programmer in this project and I mainly worked on player movement, grabbing/moving objects, UI and the boss. This game was chosen as our school's wild card for LBS Game Awards and won best 3D graphics.

Spite - The Drained Hollows

Hack and slash game ‣ 14 weeks 50% ‣ 17 people

Sixth project at The Game Assembly. A game inspired by Diablo III made in our own engine. Some of the things I worked on include:

  • Handling and making the system for systems made for our EnTT implementation. The systems are what updates components and handles game logic.

  • Camera:

    • Follows player.

    • Objects between the player model and the camera turn invisible.

    • Can move in cutscenes.

  • Enemies blink when they are damaged.

  • Loading screen.

Hier of Thunder

Adventure game ‣ 8 weeks 50% ‣ 13 people

Fifth project at The Game Assembly inspired by Zelda. The game was made in the school's in-house engine Tga2D. I mainly worked with combat. The enemies and the player use the same attacks and they are connected to JSON files.

Descent

2D platformer game ‣ 8 weeks 50% ‣ 14 people

Fourth project at The Game Assembly with Celeste as reference. Made in the schools in-house engine Tga2D. Here are some of my contributions to the project:

  • Input:

    • Added input from controller.

    • Customizable input manager that can bind keys to actions.

  • Playing visual effects like particle systems.

  • Parts of player movement.

Wizard Quest

Adventure RPG ‣ 3 weeks ‣ 2 people

Third major game we made in LBS. This time I nearly did no programming at all. I wanted to try something else, so I worked on the visuals and animations. We prioritized adding new features and unfortunately did not get to polish much before the project reached its end. This game was chosen as our school's wild card for LBS Game Awards.

Rogue Elements

Roguelike ‣ 3 weeks ‣ 8 people

First major game we made in LBS. This was made in Unity. I mainly worked on the particle effects and the jump for the player and the dogs. This game was chosen as our school's wild card for LBS Game Awards.

Scratch Game Recreation

Obstacle game ‣ Spare time ‣ Solo

A Unity remake of a friend's fun little scratch game.
