We are the first Alpha Sigma Phi chapter in Maine and we take pride in that. We may be a part of the 10th oldest fraternity nationally but we are quite new to the University of Maine campus. We pride ourselves on our values of silence, charity, purity, honor and patriotism. We keep with us our motto of "To Better the Man'' in tandem with our values to strive to make ourselves the best we can be. In our time in Alpha Sig, Theta Xi chapter, every member makes strides to better themselves personally, academically, and socially.

Academics always come first but the brothers of Alpha Sigma Phi's Theta Xi chapter like to have fun in our free time.  In or outside of school, brothers partake in all sorts of hobbies from video games to sports. You can always find us at the Umaine hockey games, embracing our school spirit. Outside of school the brothers of Theta Xi chapter love our winter sports, going on ski retreats when we can.We love to take part in school events and fundraisers to help out our community in any way we can.  

Our brothers are from all over, from California to Canada, you can find us from all over. Each of the brothers of Theta Xi brings something new to the conversation, with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of majors to boot. Although these brothers are drastically different, our brotherhood brings us together to form bonds that will last a lifetime. As we share a house together we all become as close as brothers can be. There is never a dull moment at the Alpha sig house, whether we are playing pool or watching a movie, we are always doing something around the house.
