Team Leaders

Bianka Sacks (CEO)

Hello, my name is Bianka Sacks, and I am a candidate for this years Student of the Year campaign! I was on the runner-up national team last year, and when I was asked to create my own team, I was more than willing. The medical field has always been an important aspect in my life because my father, Kenneth Sacks, was born with a heart condition: Tetralogy of Fallot. I have also witnessed numerous children die from Leukemia, let alone cancer in general, and I want to help fund science research that will create new treatment for other children and adults diagnosed with Leukemia. LLS is an amazing organization, and every donation is helping save children’s’ lives!

Julian Baquero (CEO)

Hello I am Julian Baquero. This year I am grateful to say that I am a candidate for this years Student Of the Year campaign. This campaign is an opportunity for students from around the country to come together in the name of curing cancer. Being that this is my first year apart of the campaign, I am enjoying the learning process of creating a team of individuals who are oriented around our goal. I hope that this campaign not only inspires, but makes a difference in this worldwide battle against cancer. This message not only means a great deal to me, but to my friends and family members whose lives have been forever changed by this deadly disease, this is for you.

Caleb Moller (CTO)

Hi, my name is Caleb Moller, and I am the acting Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and one of the team leaders for The Cure Team. When Bianka Sacks asked me to join the team, I immediately said yes. Cancer has devastated so many families’ lives, and I believe the LLS’s goal helps combat that. Family has always been an essential aspect in my life, and the children’s initiative will help numerous families around the world. I will do all that I can to help LLS in its mission.

Sofia Hristidis

Sofia Hristidis (CMO)

Hi, my name is Sofia Hristidis, and I am so honored to be the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) for The Cure Team. I was so happy to be a part of the team when Bianka mentioned the campaign and the mission of LLS to me. Cancer is an awful disease that affects the lives of thousands of people and their families and friends. I could pass up being part of something that could help all of the people suffering. My best friend, Lexi Landes, lost her father to cancer three and a half years ago. I was lucky enough to have known him and glad to have been able to be by Lexi and her mother’s sides through that awful time. I never want anyone to have to go through what Lexi and her family went through, even though thousands across the world sadly do, which is a big reason why I was so grateful to be a part of this team. Our team is so hardworking and determined, and I know we will make a difference with our campaign.

Carmelo musacchia (CFO)

Hi, my name is Carmelo Musacchia and I am proud to be the acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for The Cure Team and apart of this years campaign. When I first heard of the organization and what they stood for it caught my attention. Cancer has taken multiple of my family members and I would love to do everything in my power to help others fight it. I also get to work alongside my heart driven peers who have the same aspirations as myself. Anything that we can do to help stop Leukemia and Lymphoma is a huge step in the right direction and by joining LLS we will be more than able to do so.
