FAQs

Q: When was this website created?

A: This site was created on September 4th, 2022.

Q: What did I use to make this website?

A: I used Google Sites to create and publish this website. You can create your own website here if you want to.

Q: What is the purpose of my YouTube channels and my social media?

A: SeveredData is for Fortnite content, MoreSeveredData is for extra content, SeveredPlays is for games other than Fortnite, SeveredReacts is for reactions to videos, SeveredVlogs is for real-life content, and SeveredSkits is for skits and animations. My Instagram, Threads, and Twitter/X are for posting life and video updates, and my TikTok is for short videos from SeveredData and my other channels.

Q: How can I submit a video idea or ask you a question?

A: Use the business inquiries form via the "Contact" page, email me at my business email (severeddata3409business@gmail.com), or DM me on my socials.

Q: How can I report bugs on the site?

A: Use the bug reporting form via the "Contact" page, email me at my business email, or DM me on my socials. Make sure to include what page you found the bug in and where it is on the page. Screenshots or a video of the bug are also helpful. Your feedback helps the site improve as well as squash any bugs in the process.

Q: How can I submit my feedback and suggestions on the site?

A: Use the feedback form via the "Contact" page, email me at my business email, or DM me on my socials. Make sure to share your thoughts and feelings on the site and provide any suggestions.

Q: Do you play other games other than Fortnite?

A: Of course I do! I have a channel dedicated to that, which is SeveredPlays. Subscribe if you're interested or you don't like Fortnite.

Q: I really like your Fortnite Creative maps. How can I play them?

A: Unfortunately, you can't now, as I'm not old enough to apply for the support-a-creator program from Epic Games. They recently updated their eligibility requirements from 1,000 followers on social media to now having to be 18 years or older. Fortunately for you guys, it's only a matter of months until I'm eligible, so let's see what happens when the time comes.

Q: How are my videos recorded?

A: I record using the built-in game DVR on Xbox and PlayStation, and I use AZ Screen Recorder (Android) for my Android devices and the built-in screen recorder for my iOS devices. I use my phone's camera for the face cam and when I make vlogs.

Q: What editing software do I use?

A: If you haven't noticed the watermark in the top right on most of my videos, it is KineMaster (Android, iOS). I may instead use CapCut (Android, iOS) on some videos on MoreSeveredData.

Q: How do I make my thumbnails?

A: I use a combination of Canva (PC, Android, iOS) and Polish (Android, iOS) to make my thumbnails. If cutouts are involved, I use Background Eraser (Android, iOS).

Q: Why do I prefer KineMaster over other editing software available on mobile devices like InShot?

A: Pretty much everything. Everything from removing a green screen with a chroma key to adjusting videos and audio to your liking with adjustable settings and its overall simplicity, KineMaster is the perfect video editing software for Android and iOS, and even Mac OS devices, despite the watermark removal behind a paywall. It's on par with professional editing software on PC in my opinion.

Q: Do I recommend KineMaster?

A: Depends. If you don't own professional editing software on a PC like Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or iMovie and have a mobile device, KineMaster is the go-to. However, just stick with the aforementioned editing software if you do own any of them as they offer more features than KineMaster does.

Q: When is the first time I used KineMaster?

A: In January 2020 with the video "The Mountain Ride in Minecraft". While at first I was mixed about using KineMaster because of the watermark, over time I got used to it and started to appreciate the number of features compared to other editing software on mobile devices and the number of possibilities that you can make with it.

Q: Can I use footage from SeveredData or any of his other channels?

A: Only if you credit me. If not, I will contact you to add it or submit a DMCA takedown notice if you fail to comply.
