Welcome to Lesson 1: Intro to Rideshare!

There are 3 activities in this lesson:

  1. Watching a video

  2. Answering eight questions, and

  3. Thinking of your own examples

After completing this lesson, you should be able to:

  • Understand how rideshare works

  • Know two pros / things people like about using rideshare

  • Know two cons / things people don't like about using rideshare

  • Think of situations in your own life when taking rideshare would be a good or bad idea

  1. Watch the Video

Watch this 5-minute video to learn about what rideshare is and the pros and cons.

Replay part or all of it as many times as you want.

2. Answer the Questions

  • Answer the questions below.

  • When you are finished, click 'Submit' then 'View accuracy' to check your answers.

    • Your results will open in a new page, so be sure to come back to this page to finish the lesson. You may need to scroll down to see the next activity.

  • Try the questions as many times as you want by clicking 'Submit another response'. You can replay parts of the video in activity #1 to help you answer the questions.

  • You may want to talk through the questions together with your teacher or counselor.

3. Think of Your Own Examples

Think about the places you want and need to go.

  • What is one example from your life when it is a good idea to use rideshare?
    (think about the place you are going, importance of activity, distance, time of day, weather, other transportation available, etc.)

  • What is one example from your life when it does NOT make sense to use rideshare?

Write down your ideas below, or remember them to talk about with your teacher or counselor.
