Rodney Savickis began directing Melbourne High School's Melbourne Masquerade since 1996. Savickis holds a master degree in Theatre Education from the University of South Florida. He has received numerous awards for teacher of year and thespian competitions. In addition to coordinating Melbourne High School's theatre department, he also sponsors the Speech and Debate club, the Springboard Diving team, and International Thespian Society.
