The Importance of Covid Testing
What is Testing Used For?
Covid Testing is used to identify and diagnose a current COVID-19 infection and viral shedding of SARS-CoV-2.
Why Test?
You should test for a number of reasons.
Testing for yourself is important because if you are currently experiencing a COVID-19 infection, you can rest and receive care to mitigate any symptoms you currently have, or any long term affects that might otherwise arise from your infection.
It is also important to test for your family, friends, coworkers, classmates, neighbors, and/or whoever else makes up your community--even members of your community who you are not personally connected to--so that you can limit their exposure to COVID-19 and stop chains of transmission in their tracks.
