St. Augustine March Against Fracking

Mission Statement

On August 4th, Floridians will raise their voices to demand a statewide fracking ban. For too long, the state legislature has failed to take action against this dangerous practice.

Fracking is the process of forcefully injecting harsh chemicals into underground rock to release oil and gas. The many risks associated with fracking have never been more clear. Groundwater contamination, oil spills, methane emissions, and toxic chemicals threaten public health and the wellbeing of future generations.

For our communities and our future, we are demanding change. When we march across the Bridge of Lions and rally in front of city hall, we will send a strong message to Tallahassee. Fracking is dangerous, dirty, and divisive, and it has no place in Florida.

Join us on august 4 at 11am for the march against fracking!

The march will begin at the Eastern side of the Bridge of Lions and end at St. Augustine City Hall where we will rally against fracking.

Tell Tallahassee that we won't stand for the willful destruction of our planet! March against fracking!
