About Me

Born into a middle-class family in rural Nepal, I navigated life's challenges with a proactive and self-driven approach. Inherited from my mother, a blend of spiritualistic thoughts and materialistic actions has guided my journey. Firmly rooted in principles of hard work, I am a multidisciplinary engineer and technologist, specializing in food, dairy, and bio-processing.

As a dedicated researcher, my interests span food safety, quality, and innovation in food science and engineering. Focused on the growing need for sustainability in food production, my ultimate goal is to design a future food and processing system that addresses the trilemma of health, nutrition, and the environment.

Currently a Research Fellow at Monash University, Australia, my work revolves around plant-based proteins, with a focus on Australian Sweet Lupin. Previously, I was part of the unique Graduate Research Industry Partnership (GRIP) program at Monash, contributing to sustainability in industrial bean processing with Simplot Australia Pty. Ltd. This experience allowed me to bridge the gap between academia and industry, bringing ideas to market.

Beyond my scientific pursuits, I am a nature enthusiast, leading an active lifestyle, engaging in various sports, socializing with friends, and embracing hikes whenever possible.
