James Muscatello

Player Development Coach

Coach Muscatello has 15 years of experience developing hockey skills for players of all ages and levels. His dedication and passion for developing complete players has led to success in building confidence and the necessary skill set to advance to the next level.  In 2010, he founded H3 Hockey Development, where he has instructed over 5,000 hours of private lessons, camps, and clinics for collegiate, junior, high school, and youth hockey players. Additionally, James provides guidance and mentorship to players nationwide. Navigating the hockey landscape at the next level can be challenging for both players and families.  With his extensive experience, James can help players make critical decisions to find the right fit for both the team and the player. He takes pride in developing players of all abilities using various coaching techniques, while incorporating his coaching values of Head-Heart-Hustle (H3). 


Coach 'Musky' is originally from Baldwinsville, NY and has played for various youth organizations in the Central New York area.  He had a successful four-year career at Baldwinsville High School, leading the team to its first-ever State Championship appearance and earning the New York State Player of the Year honor.  After graduating, he attended Northwood Prep school for a postgraduate season and was part of their first 40-win season. James played four years of NCAA collegiate hockey at Fredonia State University, winning a SUNYAC Championship and receiving a degree in Sport Management with a Minor in Coaching.  Before starting a family, he coached the Syracuse Stampede Junior A Hockey Club to a 103-15-5-4 record and multiple championships at the Junior level.  Currently, James resides in Baldwinsville with his wife and two young children.
