“The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers & be capable of reading them.” – Thomas Jefferson, 1787
As you are guardians of the Fourth Estate, I encourage you to follow Thomas Jefferson request to inform “every man” of my effort to unseat Congressman David Trone, who presently represents the citizens of the sixth Congressional District of Maryland. Representative Trone spent millions of dollars to win a Congressional seat. If you make the electorate aware of my campaign, I believe I can repeat his feat, but by spending far less to win.
I have had a late start in the race because I decided that my time through last Friday was best spent as a teacher of high school students in Montgomery and Washington Counties who could not attend school in person, and as a long term substitute at Damascus High School teaching physics since the beginning of May.
I expect to begin my campaign next week by duplicating my “Congressional Run” of a decade ago. I expect to begin about 10 AM on Thursday, June 23rd at the northwest corner of Garrett County. Here are the five “legs” I expect to run, 2 miles in each CD6 county:

Given the fact that the national Republican Party has targeted the MD CD6 seat as a possible win, I believe that I have the background, will, and support of enough Democrats, Independents, some Republicans (who might like my penchant to not waste money, mine or theirs), and new, especially young voters who want to see the Congress legislate to improve their futures.
I hope you will do your duty, and cover my primary campaign, so that the citizens of Maryland’s Congressional District 6 know they have a true champion for their futures.
