Register NOW for the 2020 UK Open - online!

Plans have moved forward since last month’s provisional announcement. The UK Open online will be an official UKBGF event and part of a UK online backgammon extravaganza during August. This will be organised and directed by Arda Findikoglou with the assistance of Andrew Selby, David Potter and the UKBGF Board. Here are the essential details:

• Date of UK Open online: Saturday 29th – Monday 31st August
• Platform: Either Backgammon Galaxy or BG Studio Heroes (to be announced)
• Two double-elimination flights: Intermediates and Masters
• Low cost registration: £10 Intermediates; £15 Masters (no entry fee)
• Intermediates first prize: Geoffrey Parker Professional Roll-up Board
• Masters first prize: Entry into one of Arda’s live tournaments (value €500)
• Additional prizes for 2nd – 4th places (details to follow on UKBGF website)
• Extra prizes: Bespoke P40 board in BOTH flights (UKBGF members only)
• The P40 board will go to the highest-placed UKBGF member in each flight
• Just to be clear: you will be able to choose your P40 colours etc
• Limited priority period for exclusive registration by UKBGF members · If you are not a current UKBGF member, please join (or renew) first here
• After the priority period, registration will be open to all players in any country
• Limited to 128 players in each flight. Intermediate eligibility: as defined for Live tour (ELO<1600)
