City Stories by Larissa Phillips one part of the reading comprehension and fluency portion of the Decoding and Spelling class.

Students are issued a copy of the book which they keep. The stories in City Stories start at a very easy level and then progress in difficulty. The book is used by students for independent reading practice. During the session we often discuss the book in class informally. Several times a session we assign a TABE test style quiz which is based on the stories in the book.
