Covid-19 Relief Effort

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we have created a subcommittee to aid the community during these difficult times. Below are our initiatives, means for you to send us suggestions, and links to official resources for up-to-date guidelines and restrictions.

Current Initiatives To Aid Our Community

1) Food For Our Heroes Fundraiser: Donate Here

Everyday, our healthcare workers are working hard to save the lives of our loved ones. Unfortunately, with the extremely large amount of patients getting hospitalized, they barely have time to get a break or get some food. They are stressed, exhausted, and now working while being malnourished.

Join us in feeding our heroes in the hospitals who don't have time to go buy food while at work. Each time we reach our $3000 goal, we will be able to feed an entire hospital's staff of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for an entire day.

These are members of our communities that are working day in and day out to heal our leaders, neighbors, friends, family members, and loved ones.

Please donate to, and share this, fundraiser as much as you can so we can support them during this extremely difficult time. We must all come together now to get through this.

2) Naomi's Get Well Cards Campaign: Email Us for Safe & Contactless Pickup

As hospitals are not allowing for visitors to enter their facilities due to new guidelines from the government, patients that are fighting for their lives with a disease that currently has no official cure, do not have the emotional support of their loved ones being by their bedside to aid them in the healing process. This campaign's mission is to address this issue. By drawing 1-2 Get Well cards a day with your children, we can give these patients a sense of emotional support from the entire community, and let them know that we are praying for their speedy recovery. Once you have drawn 10 or more cards, please email us to setup safe and contactless pickup by one of our committee members. This campaign's inspiration came from a 6-year-old community member's desire to make these patients feel better. She and a handful of community members have so far drawn and had delivered over 120 Get Well cards to hospitalized patients battling the Covid-19 virus.

3) "Covid-19: Hear It From Our Healthcare Workers" Video Series: Watch Here

Our new video series is an initiative that seeks to highlight the tireless efforts of our Bukharian healthcare workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Each video speaker will share their unique professional experience dealing with the pandemic, and provide practical insight as to how we, as members of the community, can help stop the spread and aid those that are affected.

The videos are intended to help keep the community informed, updated, and prepared during this difficult time. They will serve as a reminder that we are truly all in this together, and that each of us can play an important role in putting an end to this crisis. Stay tuned!
