House Manual

Welcome to Slickrock Shangri-La and Slickrock Sands. We understand how important it is for you to feel at home and comfortable, and we have made every attempt to provide you with all of the comforts of home. We are a kid-friendly unit to help you and your loved ones feel at ease while away from home. Whether this is your first time or 100th time here in Moab, we are sure you will love it as much as we do. We have provided some important information for you to help your stay be as enjoyable as possible.

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in time is 4 pm. You will be sent your personal door code for access. This code changes with each guest. Check-out is 11:00 am. At the end of your stay, please dispose of the kitchen garbage in the garbage can located on the back patio. Also, please load any dirty dishes into the dishwasher and run it. Please be sure that you have not inadvertently taken any linens with you such as towels. When you leave, please lock the door behind you and this will ensure an easy check-out process for you.

Condo rules and regulations: There is no smoking allowed inside the condo unit or on the patio. No illicit drug use of any form is allowed inside the condo or on the condo property. Using the Wi-Fi, illegal internet activity will not be tolerated. Please do not rearrange furniture in the condo other than to pull out the hide-a-bed. Please do not adjust or move TVs. We want you to feel comfortable and at home in our place. We hope you will treat our place with respect as you would your own home.

Condo amenities: We have a fully stocked kitchen that includes a pancake griddle, microwave griddle, waffle maker, crock-pot, pressure cooker, coffee maker, toaster, mixer, Dutch oven cooking pot, pots and pans, pizza baking sheet, cork screw, spices and many other cooking essentials. We hope that if you choose to cook in the condo you will find it an easy and convenient option. We have also provided a pack-n-play for a child, a sound machine for easy sleeping, blow dryers, and a humidifier. We know that Moab has a lot of sand and clothes become dirty easily, so we have also provided a washer/dryer for your convenience. We have provided a hose to wash shoes and bikes outside (except for Winter months), and ask that you please do not use the condo linens to clean/dry with, but rather use the provided rags for this. Please do not place eggshells in the garbage disposal, but please dispose of them in the garbage bin.

Community recreation information: On site, we have a pool and hot tub area that is easily accessible by following the map provided (map found in townhome). The pool key is necessary to enter and exit the pool area. We have provided pool towels for your stay, but please remember to return them to the unit, as they belong to Slickrock Shangri-La. There are no lifeguards on duty, and it is the responsibility of pool attendees to provide pool oversight. Restroom facilities are located on sight at the pool. Near the pool you will also find a pavilion, playground, tennis courts and basketball area. We have also provided a basketball for your convenience. Offsite, you may have noticed the baseball field and large grassy field to the North of the condo. This area is easily accessible and available for your enjoyment.

Electronic equipment: This condo is equipped with three televisions and three Blu-ray players. The Samsung TVs are smart TVs and the Sony TV has Google Chromecast attached to it. Please do not move TVs. If you have streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime, you can sign into your account and watch your favorite programs. Please remember to sign out of these accounts at the end of your stay, as we would not want anyone else to utilize your accounts.

Moab Information: In the condo you have been provided with some information about the happenings in Moab. For a quick electronic version of these happenings, please see www.moabhappenings.com or discovermoab.com. You will see a list of restaurants, music venues, rental shops, tours & attractions, and shopping. Some of our favorite restaurants include Moab Diner, Miguel’s Baja Grill, Zax Restaurant, and Pasta Jay’s. If planning to eat out, be sure to call ahead to make a reservation and save yourself some wait time. Some fun attractions we love are Kane Creek where you can find Petroglyphs; Moab Rim for hiking, biking, or off-roading; a beautiful drive along the river; and various other recreational activities. Potash Road, where you can find more Petroglyphs, access to the Colorado River, rock climbing, various hiking trails or a beautiful drive along the Colorado River. Fisher Towers Northeast of Moab on scenic route 128. Along the route you will find biking trails, hiking trails and access to the Colorado River. Sand Flats Recreation Area (this area is managed by the Bureau of Land Management), which has a nominal access fee, but is worthwhile considering you will access Slickrock and Porcupine Rim bike trails, and Fins and Things and Hell’s Revenge Jeep trails. Arches National Park. The entrance to the park can become congested, so it is advised that you arrive early for quickest access. The visitor’s center provides running water and flush toilets, otherwise plan for pit toilets throughout the park. Bring plenty of water so as not to become dehydrated. In Arches you will find Sand Dune Arch, Delicate Arch, Landscape Arch and many other amazing scenes. This National Park is well worth the visit. Dead Horse Point State Park (approximately 36 miles Northwest from our complex, but well worth the experience). Last but not least, Canyonlands National Park (approximately 33 miles Northwest from our complex, but well worth the experience).

We hope that your stay will be enjoyable and without problems, but in the event of an emergency, we have provided some useful contact information. Again, let us welcome you to breathtaking Moab. We hope you will have a pleasant and enjoyable stay!
