Pencils
Personal sharpener
Large eraser
Ruler
Glue sticks or bottle glue
Scissors
2 Black sharpies
Grading Procedures: Grades are weighted and based on the following categories.
Formative Assessments 40% (participation, class work, HW, sketchbooks, warm ups)
Summative Assessments 60% (tests, quizzes, and final projects)
100% of your grade is directly controlled by the choices you make on a daily basis. Participation and effort are important!
Checking grades: Infinite Campus: http://unioncolonyschools.org/ and click the “check your grades” tab.
Oops Passes for Late Work: Union Colony does not accept late work but we realize that sometimes things happen. Eventually late work will not be accepted but we’ll ease into it.
Semester 1- 6th Grade students have until the end of the unit to turn in any late work for that Unit.
Semester 2- 6th Grade students have a 2 week grace period to turn in any late work. After that time, students can use up to 3 oops passes. Use them wisely!
An Oops Pass can be used on Formative assignments (classwork, homework, rough drafts, and daily assignments)
Cannot be used for long term assignments or Summative assessments like final projects, tests, and quizzes
You have to tell me you want a late pass to be used, we will both sign the track sheet, and you will be granted a two-day extension on the assignment for full credit. If you forget, it’s a zero.
Absences: Students need to talk to their teachers about absences and get their missed assignments the day they return to class. They have 2 days to complete the work and turn it in.
It is your responsibility to come to me for work you have missed. If there are any handouts or worksheets, I will in our class folder. Make-up work will need to be done on your own time, not during class.
If you have an unexcused absence this grade will be an automatic zero. For long term assignments, the project will be due as soon as you return to school.
Tardy Policy: Class begins at the bell, if you are tardy… think about why it happened and follow the steps on the door.
Go get a tardy pass from the office
Signal or make sure I know you are present without disrupting the class
Once Ms. T has your pass, have a seat and get started with the bell ringer or lesson
Help: Ms. Trevizo is available before school, during lunch, and afterschool on most days! If you're confused or need extra help, schedule to meet with me and I’ll write you a pass. You can also ask me questions via email!
Class Social Contract: Each class will discuss an agreement of what they want their class to be like, how they want to be treated, and how they can make sure all their classmates can learn. We are ALL accountable for upholding our class social contract.

We grow as artists (and human beings) by trying and experiencing new things!
