Projects: We will try to get through as many projects as possible but it depends on time and the choices you make on a daily basis. There will also be other creative artworks mixed in where we can experiment even more with techniques, materials, or ideas!

What skills we will be working on this year:

Materials: For the most part, we will share art room materials but students are expected to provide the following:

Grading Procedures: Grades are weighted and based on the following categories.

100% of your grade is directly controlled by the choices you make on a daily basis. Participation and effort are important!

Checking grades: Infinite Campus:  http://unioncolonyschools.org/ and click the “check your grades” tab.

Oops Passes for Late Work: Union Colony does not accept late work but we realize that sometimes things happen. Eventually late work will not be accepted but we’ll ease into it.

Semester 1- 6th Grade students have until the end of the unit to turn in any late work for that Unit.

Semester 2- 6th Grade students have a 2 week grace period to turn in any late work. After that time, students can use up to 3 oops passes. Use them wisely!

Absences: Students need to talk to their teachers about absences and get their missed assignments the day they return to class. They have 2 days to complete the work and turn it in.

Tardy Policy: Class begins at the bell, if you are tardy… think about why it happened and follow the steps on the door.

Help: Ms. Trevizo is available before school, during lunch, and afterschool on most days! If you're confused or need extra help, schedule to meet with me and I’ll write you a pass. You can also ask me questions via email!

Class Social Contract: Each class will discuss an agreement of what they want their class to be like, how they want to be treated, and how they can make sure all their classmates can learn. We are ALL accountable for upholding our class social contract.

What is art class going to be like?

The Beginning of Class:

During Class Time:

We grow as artists (and human beings) by trying and experiencing new things!

Ms. Trevizo will be here to guide you and help you stay accountable for the art community you are a part of!

Art relies on materials that we all share, we all have to take care of what we use and share with one another.

The End of Class

Ms. Trevizo will sum up the day, give you an idea what to expect next time. She’ll dismiss by groups to head to your next class.

Homework will be assigned in class to sign the syllabus, please return to class by the due date.
