Welcome! I am a Joint PhD Candidate in the Department of Economics and Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan. I am currently on the job market and will be available for interviews during the 2019 ASSA Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.
Research interests: I am a health economist with a primary focus on researching the efficiency and equity consequences of Medicare policy reforms. I also have more general research experience and interest in health insurance, managed competition, access to care, and health disparity topics.
Background: I received a BA in Political Science with honors from Washington University in St. Louis and an MPP from The University of Chicago. Prior to entering the University of Michigan, I worked as a Senior Research Analyst at the Lewin Group and as a Medicare Policy Analyst at the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation. My research combines a deep understanding of the institutional details of health policy with an expertise in applied econometric methods and the theories of health economics and health services research.
Dissertation Committee: Edward Norton (co-chair), Richard Hirth (co-chair), Martha Bailey, and Thomas Buchmueller.
