Advocacy Application Option #3: Exercise Social Media Advocacy
Options to apply this skill include:
Create a Twitter post (140 characters, consider adding a link or picture), and we will ask U of M Tweetiatrics to tweet or re-tweet it
Create an Instagram post (picture(s), text blurb), and umichpeds_advocacy will post it
Be sure to review your post with Dr. Naughton or Dr. McLaughlin prior to sending it on.
REQUIRED: Watch this amazing video by our own pediatric hematologist and Twitter advocate Dr. Angela Weyand (also known as @Shematologist, MD !!). You can watch it directly from this page.
Fun fact: Dr. Weyand organized the hugely successful Twitter campaign #HCWvsHunger (article linked here).
Optional: click on the picture to the left to watch "Using Twitter as an Effective Tool for Advocacy" (Vimeo session) by Minnesota AAP
