Access to UKU Level 1 coaching materials is FREE for UKU members!

Yes, access is free with Full, Uni/u18, Friends and Family, and Coach memberships! By providing coach education materials free to members we want to help some people take their first steps into coaching, provide easier access to coaching qualifications and offer more support to those who are already coaching. We want players and participants to have a brilliant experience, and coaching is a key part of this.

The free coach education materials form the content of the UKU Level 1 Coaching qualification. If you want to work towards your Level 1 you will need to complete all modules and submit your logbook.

You'll find information about the qualification process on the website when you've signed up for the free coaching material.

Is your UKU membership up to date?

To renew or purchase membership, please login to your account here.

Do you have basic membership? 

Unfortunately free access to the material is not included in the basic membership package. You can update your membership via your profile.

Have you added your Gmail or Google-linked account to your membership profile?

On your profile, go to "Member Details" to provide an email linked to a Google Account.

Are you in the right browser?

You can be logged into multiple accounts simultaneously. Make sure you're trying to access the coaching material from the correct browser (the one logged into the account you've given us).

Are you trying to access the coaching content immediately?

We will update the system several times per week which means you won't have to wait long. If you don't receive an email letting you know you've been added to the Google Group but it has been several days since you gave us your Gmail or Google-linked email address, please try this link.

FAQs

Why can't members with basic membership access this material?

Basic membership is designed for those who only want to play a little (usually locally or regionally), or for those who haven't yet decided if Ultimate is for them (new players at university for example).

Why do I have to use a Google account?

Based on the resources available to us, using Google Groups is currently the neatest way for us to protect the Coach Education Material and to provide access to our members. Unfortunately this means there are some Google-related processes that we cannot control. We're trying to make access as simple as possible.

I've not played Ultimate - is this for me?

This content is specifically designed for people who have experience of playing Ultimate or for non-players with an excellent understanding on the game. We have other courses better suited to those who are new to Ultimate but already have skills in coaching or teaching.
