Transportation
For the students that require bus transportation, the Topeka Public School District Transportation Department will implement the following safety procedures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and protect both students and employees.
Topeka Public Schools encourages parents who can do so to provide transportation to and from school for their children.
Bus Sanitizing
Kansas Central will develop a schedule for increased deep cleaning and disinfecting of buses.
The interior of the bus will be cleaned and disinfected twice daily, paying attention to high-touch surfaces such as the entrance handrail, seats, steering wheel and door handles.
Staff will be provided safety training on how to effectively clean the bus.
Increased circulation of outdoor air into the vehicle will be practiced to the extent possible.
