Mrs. Aaron was born in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia and grew up right here in Lafayette Hill! She attended St. Philip Neri and Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education.

She accepted a job doing social work and enjoyed helping others for two years; she then returned to Cabrini College where she began studying for her Master’s in Education. During that time she was a long-term substitute in Kindergarten at St. Lucy School in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, and at the end of the year she was asked to stay as the third grade teacher. "Miss G" taught third grade at St. Lucy for 4 years! She enjoyed doing many things there, including the Christmas Show, Student Council and Yearbook.

When the 5 area schools merged in 2005 she became the third grade teacher at Holy Child School and also became Mrs. Aaron! During her years there Mrs. Aaron taught 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades!

She then went to teach in the Olney section of Philadelphia at St. Helena Incarnation, there she taught 5th and 6th grade and was moderator of Student Council.

Mrs. Aaron lives in Delaware County with her husband Scott and their two children, Jake and Emma.

This is her 24th year teaching and 10th year at St. Philip Neri.  She is looking forward to a new and exciting adventure in 8th grade

Misson

I am a teacher because I enjoy hard work and helping others find success.  I want my students to experience meaningful, interesting learning that is relevant to their lives. I believe this can be accomplished through the use of hands on activities, cooperative learning, an integrated curriculum and the use of technology and the internet.

I believe that it takes more than a single individual to make a difference in the lives of a class of students. Therefore, I have learned the value of being a team player and the importance of communicating with colleagues, parents, and administrators, so that I will be able to provide the best education possible for my students.

As a product of Catholic education and St. Philip Neri itself, I understand its value in our society, and thank you for entrusting me with your most precious gift from God, your children.
