The award-winning Urbana High School band program is more than just a variety of musical ensembles. We are a family of students, directors, parents, alumni and community partners who collaborate to promote excellence in our UHS band program. Throughout the year, the UHS Band Boosters provide support to our bands and raise the necessary funds to make high quality music education accessible for all students regardless of income or background.
Mark your calendars for the UHS Bands Fall Concert on Thursday, November 6 featuring Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony at 7 pm in the UHS Auditorium!
Support Urbana Jazz Bands and dine for a good cause at Chipotle at 903 W. Anthony in Champaign on Saturday, November 8 between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Order online using the code RVNCRL or show the flyer and tell the cashier you're supporting Urbana Jazz Bands to make certain 25% of sales that evening will go toward the program.
Congratulations to the instrumental music students who were selected to participate in the ILMEA District # 3 Festival in November. These students engaged in a rigorous audition process and we are proud of their hard work and dedication.

The 2025 CU Marching Showcase was a spectacular evening celebrating music and friendship across our three community high school marching bands. It's not too late to donate to this stellar event. Here are results to date: 1) Sage City Invitational 4A: 1st Place in Class (tied with our friends at Centennial HS); Best Music in Class; Color Guard 2nd Place in Class. 2) EIU Panther Marching Festival Scholastic 5A: Outstanding Auxiliary; Outstanding Percussion; Outstanding Musical Performance; 2nd Place in Class; 3) Effingham Marching Hearts Invitational Class 5A: 1st Place in Percussion and 3rd Place in Class; 4) St. Louis Area Marching Competition Gold Class: 3rd Place in Class.o
