Tutors and Courses

The Committee is always seeking to expand the range of courses, and is very interested in ideas and offers of assistance to fulfill this objective.

As indicated by the current syllabus, the courses cover a diversity of subjects, and are of particular interest to the active retired community.

Tutors generally come from within our membership, with the occasional tutor from the outside community. Previous teacher training is not a requirement, and we emphasise that leading a class and sharing your special knowledge and skills with our members can be a very rewarding experience.

All tutors are volunteers and receive no payment except for reimbursement for associated costs such as phone calls, postage, photocopying, etc. We hold a special morning tea towards the end of each year, where tutors report on the current year's program, and future plans are discussed.

If you would like to become a tutor or class leader, contact the Secretary Flo White or the Courses Co-ordinator Adam Sharp.
